Kathy Haughey Loo, the owner of Haughey Loo, Inc., is an active resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. In recent years she has been involved in land conservation and is a trustee of the Colorado Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Kathy grew up in Billings and began coming to Red Lodge as a small child. She and her husband purchased the Aspen Ridge Ranch land over ten years ago. As a conservationist, she envisioned it as a place for a high quality, limited development. She says "I thought this land was so close to town that it was bound to be developed some day. But I wanted to see it protected – to keep its agricultural uses and retain and restore the fabulous riparian areas. I believe that we need to protect our natural resources and wildlife but I also know that people need to use land as well. This concept allows for both. We want Aspen Ridge to set an example for sustainable environmental development."
Bruce Haughey, Kathy’s brother, is a jack of all trades and has been responsible for designing all phases of the development of Aspen Ridge Ranch. He is a talented artist and has made his living painting watercolors and creating pots, table tops and other useful and decorative items out of fiberglass. In the late 1980’s he designed and directed the building of large train cars Transisco tours "The 49er Express", a dining/tourist train which ran in northern California and Nevada. He and his wife Roxanne were the owners of Dr. Hoys, a line of body products and an over the counter drug pain gel that he developed, manufactured and sold for many years. In 2005 he began to work on the Aspen Ridge project and has been the driving force in bringing Aspen Ridge Ranch to fruition and life. He and his wife Roxanne, are avid horsemen and used their vast knowledge from boarding facilities to design our equine center. He is currently doing pottery in his new ceramics studio at the main Ranch house. Bruce is President of the Ranch. Cell 602-909-9958
Roxanne Haughey has worked side by side with her husband, Bruce, for 36 years, handling the operational and financial management aspects of their many businesses. During Bruce's painting days, Roxanne ran a framing studio, designing custom mats and frames to bring his artwork to completion. In addition to serving as the business manager for Aspen Ridge Ranch, she owns and operates a company that makes towel scents for golf resorts and spas. An avid horsewoman, Roxanne loves to spend time with her horse, Noche', whether riding through the picturesque trails of Aspen Ridge Ranch or on an annual all-woman ride throughout Arizona. Her love of animals does not stop at horses - she also relishes time with Sage, a rescue dog, and Blue Boy, an Amazon parrot who has been in the family for 35 years. She can be reached at 406-425-1000.
Born in Montana, Sage, was the first dog to be rescued by the Beartooth Humane Alliance - #001. Roxanne and Bruce adopted her and they are the loves of her life, As an integral part of Aspen Ridge Ranch, she greets guests and guides them to the best vantage points for the grand views to the east, west, north and south. Sage enjoys watching the western weather move across the big Montana sky from horizon to horizon. She is known for her love of learning. Mark & Kaaren Robbins—General Manager and Co-manager, Aspen Ridge Ranch
Mark Robbins—I grew up managing a farm with my brother Steve in Alabama and have owned, rode and showed horses my whole life which deeply instilled the disciplines of commitment and excellence to all I undertake. At age sixteen I built and ran a 16 horse barn—boarding and training horses in western pleasure disciplines. In my youth I was a bareback bronc rider in the ACA and IPRA circuits and mentored in equine management under Dick Edwards-AQHA Judge and Breeder. Still today, Dick’s gifts remain the foundation of my practices and work ethic whether managing cattle ranches, bovine and equine hay production operations or leading commercial or residential construction teams. It is both a blessing and pleasure to apply my life skills and expertise both recreationally in my personal land and horse ownership and professionally as General Manager of Aspen Ridge Ranch. You can always reach me at 720-271-2363.
